YOUR INFORMATION, EXPLAINED

Privacy policy.

What we collect, why we need it, and the choices you have.

1. About this policy

This policy explains how we handle personal information through our website, ekapps.com, and when you contact us about our services. EKAPPS is responsible for the information we collect for these purposes.

This policy covers the EKAPPS website and enquiries made to us. External shops, account portals, and social networks linked from this site have their own privacy notices. A separate agreement or notice may apply when we deliver a project or handle information on a client’s behalf.

2. Information we collect

  • Enquiry details: your name, email address, selected service, and message when you submit our contact form. A phone number is optional. We save your enquiry with its submission date so we can follow up.
  • Correspondence: information you choose to share when you email, call, or message us, including details about your business or proposed project.
  • Technical information: your IP address, browser information, session identifier, and activity time may be recorded as part of operating the website. Server and error logs may also contain request details, such as the page requested and the time of the request.

You can browse without sending an enquiry. The fields marked with an asterisk on the contact form are needed to process and respond to that enquiry; we may be unable to help without them. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, identity documents, or sensitive personal information in your message.

This website does not collect payment-card details or offer its own customer login. The Shop and My account links open an external service.

3. How we use your information

We use enquiry details to understand your request, respond to questions, arrange consultations, and discuss or prepare a proposal. If you become a client, relevant correspondence may form part of our project records.

Technical information helps the website work, maintain your form session, limit automated submissions, investigate errors, and protect against misuse. We may also retain information needed to meet applicable legal obligations or resolve a dispute.

Where data-protection law requires a lawful basis, responding to a requested proposal or providing agreed services may involve steps towards, or performance of, a contract. General correspondence and website security support our legitimate interests in operating the business and responding to visitors, taking your rights into account. Processing required by law relies on that obligation. If we ask for consent for a separate purpose, you can withdraw it for future use.

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list. This website does not use your information for targeted advertising, sell enquiry information, or make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. Automated spam checks may reject an invalid form submission; you can email us if you cannot submit the form.

Anonymous usage counts

On the live website, we count contact-button, email, telephone, and WhatsApp link clicks and successful form submissions to understand which pages help visitors take the next step. Reports contain daily totals by page, service, and action. They do not contain your name, email, message, IP address, browser fingerprint, or a visitor identifier. A click count does not tell us whether you completed a call or sent a message.

These counts are stored privately on our own website hosting, not sent to an external analytics provider. The reporting window is 90 days. Older totals are deleted by scheduled maintenance and whenever a usage report is generated. Ordinary hosting logs and necessary website sessions are separate from these reports.

You can turn off optional counts below. We also honour supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Your choice applies to this browser session and does not affect your ability to contact us. Preview and development visits are not counted.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. This website uses essential cookies to support form security and remember information during your visit. It does not set separate analytics or advertising cookies, use third party tracking pixels, or automatically load social-media or video embeds. Your usage-count preference is remembered in the existing website session.

With the current settings, these cookies expire after approximately 120 minutes without a new website response refreshing them. Expiry of a cookie does not delete an enquiry you have submitted. Expired session records may remain on the server until routine session cleanup occurs.

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the contact form from working; you can still contact us by email or phone.

6. Retention and security

How long information is needed depends on the purpose: whether an enquiry is still being discussed, whether it becomes an ongoing project, and whether records are needed for legal obligations or a dispute. Enquiry records do not currently have a fixed automatic deletion period. You can contact us to ask about the information we hold or request its deletion.

Cookie expiry, server logs, correspondence, and enquiry records have different lifecycles. Deleting cookies from your browser does not remove saved correspondence or enquiries. Information may need to be retained when an applicable legal obligation or a valid reason prevents immediate deletion; we will explain this when responding to a request.

The website includes form validation, request-forgery protection, and limits on repeated submissions. Enquiry records are held outside publicly accessible pages. No internet service or method of storage can guarantee absolute security, so please use the contact form only for information needed to discuss your project.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion. Depending on the law that applies and the circumstances, you may also have rights to restrict processing, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

You may have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Tell us what you object to so we can consider your request and the reasons for the processing.

Email [email protected] with your request. We may need enough information to confirm your identity and locate the relevant records. We will respond in line with applicable requirements and explain if an exception limits what we can do.

You can raise a privacy concern with us using the details below. Where applicable, you may also complain to the data-protection or privacy authority responsible for your jurisdiction.

8. Children’s information

Our website and services are intended for businesses and organisations, and are not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this website, please contact us so we can review and address it.

9. Policy updates

We may update this policy when our website, services, or information-handling practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. We will provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
